Mulled White Wine

YOU WILL NEED:
- 700ml bottle of Riesling
- 100ml Lemon RamTang’
- 150ml orange juice
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1 whole orange, studded with 6 cloves
- 2 small cinnamon sticks
- 10 whole allspice berries
- 3 crushed cardamom pods
METHOD:
- Combine the ingredients: In a large saucepan, add the Riesling, Lemon RamTang’, orange juice, and granulated sugar.
- Add the spices: Place the studded orange, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, and crushed cardamom pods into the mixture.
- Simmer: Heat the mixture on very low heat, stirring occasionally for 20-25 minutes. Do not let it boil, just let it simmer to blend the flavours.
- Serve: Pour into heat-proof glass mugs and garnish with blood orange slices (if in season) or regular orange slices and a small cinnamon stick. For an extra kick, add a small splash of Lemon RamTang’ on top.
